Bridging the gap to your goals

Process optimisation with Günzburger Steigtechnik aluminium bridging steps and walkways

19.02.2020

Press release

One small step in everyday working life – a giant leap in process optimisation: Günzburger Steigtechnik bridging steps and walkway systems shorten the distances that need to be walked in production, warehouses, logistics and even outdoors, ensuring productivity is optimised. This is how the Bavarian quality manufacturer boosts the speed of modern production and transport systems and helps businesses to improve safety at work. The bridging steps can now also be individually configured online using the new Günzburger Steigtechnik product configurator at www.steigtechnik.de/konfigurator.

“The right bridging steps in the right place represent a very special kind of process optimisation. It means that our customers can reduce their production costs as they can fully rely on automated production processes and still rest assured than operators can get from A to B without making any long detours. This saves a lot of time and money and also ensures the highest level of safety at work,” says Ferdinand Munk, Managing Director of Günzburger Steigtechnik GmbH.

The “Climb smart!” leader in innovation and technology has recently redesigned its bridging steps, stairs and mobile platform stairs. Thanks to their new, modular design, these products can now be flexibly modified and extended as needed and, as sleeve nuts replace the T-bolts, assembly is faster than ever before. The bridging steps, stairs and platform stairs are also now fitted as standard with ideal stop castors, with enhanced added value and the new, modern look putting the finishing touches to the general makeover.

Choice of surfaces

Günzburg bridging steps have many uses, and the solutions the quality manufacturer provides are just as wide-ranging. There are the right bridging steps for every challenge. And, as with industrial stairs made of aluminium, you have the choice of surfaces for step and base areas on bridging areas and walkway systems. Steel gratings make sense for outdoor areas, for example, as they provide good grip and dirt and snow can fall through the grid. By contrast, corrugated aluminium is suitable for use in production and storage facilities or even workshops. Aluminium perforated covers and gratings are recommended where exacting standards of hygiene are required, for instance in food warehouses. Just like the company’s corundum coating, they all meet the strict R13 standard for slip resistance, ensuring a secure grip and stability even in wet, greasy and dusty workplaces.

The user-friendly version of Günzburger Steigtechnik’s bridging steps comes as standard with an ascent angle of 45 degrees, and is also available as a steeper 60 degree angle version. They have between three and eleven steps on both sides, depending on the purpose and height being bridged; the standard range alone allows a clear height of up to 2.60 metres to be bridged. The platform’s total tread surface has been extended and is now 910 mm. It can be extended to a clear width of 2,400 mm in 200 mm increments. The quality manufacturer offers three different widths: 600, 800 and 1,000 mm. Günzburg bridging steps also have a railing system on one side (40 mm diameter) as standard, but can also be ordered with a handrail on two sides and as a mobile version.

New product configurator

Günzburg Steigtechnik customers themselves can now also put together the bridging steps, stairs and mobile platform stairs that perfectly fit their needs, online, at any time and with just a few clicks: This is all thanks to the quality manufacturer’s new product configurator, which enhances their top face-to-face customer service and is both easy and intuitive to operate. Customers enter the required dimensions, finishes and accessories step by step. The result is displayed dynamically in real time using a rotating 3D model and drawing and a quote will be e-mailed as soon as it has been saved. This service is available at www.steigtechnik.de/konfigurator – there’s also a demo video introducing the functions of the product configurator.

“We meet the highest quality standards and offer our customers absolute process optimisation. This applies to our bridging steps, which increase work efficiency and reduce business costs, but of course also to our new product configurator. It makes ordering custom bridging steps, stairs and platform stairs a breeze,” explains Ferdinand Munk, excited about the new development.

Modular design of walkway systems

An added bonus in practice: Günzburger Steigtechnik also supplies its bridging steps with a modular design and as a modular kit system, enabling customers to put together the right systems for them in an ultra-convenient and cost-efficient manner. The bridging steps modules are available in three lengths (1,260, 1,860 and 3,060 mm) and can be freely combined with each another. The height of the platforms can be selected from a range of 1.25 to 3.0 metres. Each module is 850 mm wide and consists of a platform, a support and two rigid 1,100 mm high railings. The company offers corrugated aluminium and steel grating as platform surfaces for its modules.

Fast delivery is also part of the customer-friendly service at Günzburger Steigtechnik. Bridging steps and walkway systems, as well as stairs and mobile platform stairs, are all part of the quality manufacturer's fast delivery programme and leave the factory within ten days. All the company’s products also comply with the relevant standards and regulations, and are exclusively made at the company’s headquarters in Günzburg. They also meet the TÜV North’s “Made in Germany” certified guarantee of origin and have a quality guarantee of 15 years.
