58 employees with service records ranging from 5 to 45 years celebrate their company anniversaries.

Long-standing loyalty and exceptional commitment: these qualities characterise all 58 of our anniversary celebrants. For the MUNK Group, which continues to grow in its 125th anniversary year, our long-standing employees are a key factor in our success.

Our 58 employees celebrating their anniversaries can look back on an impressive 860 years of service at the MUNK Group. The management team honoured their dedication and loyalty at a festive celebration. The employees celebrating their anniversaries have been part of our company for five, ten, 15, 25, 30, 35 and even 40 years. The annual tribute is an integral part of our corporate culture and stands for the family-like and respectful way we treat each other.

Owner and managing director Ferdinand Munk emphasised this last Friday:
‘Because MUNK is not just the buildings, the machines and our products. MUNK is the people who work here. They are the ones who implement our standards of quality and safety day after day.’

Great success for young inventors from the region

Oliver and Luca from the ‘The Builders’ team at Buigen Gymnasium in Herbrechtingen achieved an outstanding 6th place at the World Robot Olympiad (WRO) finals in Singapore, making them the highest-ranked team from Europe.

As part of the competition, the two students independently developed and programmed the robots ‘Atlas’ and “Rubble” as well as the measuring station ‘Calvin’. On a replica Mars landscape, the robots demonstrated, among other things, how they respond to storm warnings, drill and extract soil samples, collect weather data and support each other as a team. A central element of the project was the team spirit: the robots recognise dangers and bring themselves to safety independently.

The transport box we provided will be available to the LEGO Mindstorms club at Buigen Gymnasium in the future and can also be used for the safe transport of additional robots in future competitions.

We congratulate Oliver, Luca and everyone involved on this outstanding achievement.

Appreciation for teachers from Günzburg and Leipheim

Over gingerbread and warm punch, we had the opportunity to personally thank representatives of teachers from schools in Günzburg and Leipheim.

Well-educated young people are essential for the future of the economy and society. This makes us all the more appreciative of the daily commitment of teachers who support and encourage young people and prepare them for the challenges of the future.
