Press release

Time and again, accidents occur in winter because sheets of ice come off the roofs of trucks or buses. With the help of de-icing systems and de-icing scaffolds from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, this danger can be averted and road safety significantly increased. With stationary installations and scaffolds in modular design as well as mobile de-icing scaffolds, the quality manufacturer offers a wide range for more safety on the road. While stationary installations are mainly used at service areas, car parks or directly on the premises of haulage companies, businesses and public utilities/municipal facilities/service depots, mobile scaffolding also allows for completely location-independent "de-icing to go".

Whether due to carelessness, negligence, time pressure or lack of suitable equipment - all too often long-distance and bus drivers fail to clear the roofs and tarpaulins of their vehicles of snow and ice. Yet de-icing trucks and buses is not a freestyle activity, but an absolute duty. Paragraph 1 of the Road Traffic Act (StVO) already stipulates that no other road user may be endangered.

With its de-icing systems and scaffolding, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik has the solution. "Danger recognised, danger averted. I am pleased that more and more companies are installing our de-icing systems at their depots. The winters with lots of snow, ice and precipitation as well as long periods of cold weather have shown many how important it is to de-ice vehicles. The demand for our de-icing systems and stands has risen sharply," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.

Customers of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can put together their own stationary de-icing systems and scaffolding quickly, easily and cost-effectively using a practical modular system. Three different platform lengths (1270, 1870 or 3070 mm) with the corresponding stair module are available for the de-icing systems. The systems are made of high-strength, stable and particularly robust aluminium profiles with a platform covering of steel grating and a stable substructure. The stationary scaffold with a standard platform length of 5210 mm can also be individually adapted to the customer's needs. With handrails on the stairways, railings on the end and long sides and safety doors, the stationary constructions ensure maximum safety when walking on and working on the vehicles.

Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik also offers mobile de-icing access equipment. The mobile version of the de-icing scaffold is movable via four swivel castors and can be assembled quickly and safely without any tools. Assembly is carried out via plug-in connections and self-closing locking claws. Under the motto "de-icing to go", the rolling towers can also be stowed in a mesh trolley for transport and loaded onto a truck, so that they can be used particularly flexibly and independent of location.

The de-icing systems and scaffolds from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can remain set up all year round; they are absolutely weatherproof and maintenance-free. "This means they can also be used in summer, for example for repairs to the truck tarpaulin or roof," explains Ferdinand Munk. The constructions are part of the standard programme of the Bavarian quality manufacturer, which not only enables a quick delivery within four weeks, but is also reflected in a very good price-performance ratio.
