The right access equipment for every underground job: under this motto, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is presenting its shaft ladder systems made of hot-dip galvanised steel, stainless steel and glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) at IFAT 2022, the world's leading trade fair for environmental technologies in Munich (30 May to 3 June | Hall B2 | Booth 444). All of the quality manufacturer's shaft ladders are highly resilient, withstand sub-zero temperatures and moisture, and repel acid. Entry aids also minimise the risk of accidents and ensure maximum work safety.
The rehabilitation of local sewers is one of the biggest municipal tasks in the coming years. In many German cities, sewers are in need of renovation, shaft walls are damaged by salt and water, stirrups are no longer firmly anchored and ladders are worn or even rusty. Experts estimate the renovation costs in Germany at several billion euros. "The frequency with which workers enter and exit manholes is increasing - and with it the need for safety at work. However, conventional aluminium ladders are not sufficient for the demanding work in damp shafts," emphasises Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group.
Shaft ladders are durable
At IFAT 2022 in Munich, the quality manufacturer will therefore be presenting extremely durable equipment for working at depth: depending on the intended use, the shaft ladders from Günzburg are available in steel, stainless steel and GRP. They do not corrode and remain neutral even when in contact with most chemicals. Glass-fibre reinforced plastic also feels warm to the touch even at sub-zero temperatures and lasts practically "forever".
The shaft ladders from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik are available in any length in a modular system. Their clear width is 300 or 400 mm, and they are also equipped with high-strength rung-rail connections and non-slip coverings. Access aids, which minimise the risk of accidents at a particularly dangerous point - the transition from the shaft to the ground surface - and whose support bars are available in both mobile and stationary versions, provide added safety at work. The 400 mm wide version of the shaft ladders can also be equipped with additional climbing protection.
Individual solutions possible
Thanks to the extensive range of accessories such as wall brackets, foot plates and connecting elements, individual solutions are also possible. The shaft ladders from Günzburg can thus be optimally adapted to a wide variety of applications - regardless of whether the work involves sewage treatment plants, pump shafts, landfills or, for example, retention basins. The installation of the shaft ladders is quick and easy thanks to the optimised assembly system. Adjustable wall brackets for particularly complex objects make this even easier.
15-year warranty
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik shaft ladders comply with all relevant standards and regulations and are produced exclusively at the company's headquarters in Günzburg. They also meet the certified "Made in Germany" certificate of origin from TÜV Nord and have a 15-year guarantee.
