When it comes to safety at work, there's no way around Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: this will again be true at the A+A in Düsseldorf in 2023. At Stand 4D24 in Hall 4, the Bavarian quality manufacturer will present its wide range of products for occupational safety. The focus will naturally be on the latest innovations such as the first stepladder made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) manufactured in Germany, but also the popular FlexxTower one-person scaffolding with a leading safety railing. The new mobile safety system SafeCaddy from Munk Rettungstechnik will be at the A+A for the first time. This was specially designed to optimise fire protection and first aid in buildings, on construction sites and at events. The expert knowledge of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is not only in demand at the stand, but also at the "A+A Trend Forum". On Tuesday, 24 October, Thomas Bichler, Head of Training and Standards at the Munk Group, will speak at 1:30 p.m. on the topic of "Ergonomics with ladders, steps and rolling scaffolds in access equipment".
"At the A+A in Düsseldorf, we demonstrate each time anew how seriously we take our claim to safety made in Germany: Because no matter whether it is work at heights or in the excavation pit, in the environment of high voltage or chemicals, whether fire protection or first aid: with our work safety solutions, we offer professionals from every sector the right solution. We are very much looking forward to presenting our products live to the trade public at the stand. Once again, there will be plenty of action," says Ferdinand Munk, Managing Director and owner of the Munk Group.
First GRP stepladder made in Germany
Several new products from Munk will celebrate their A+A premiere in 2023. One of them is the first GRP stepladder ever to be manufactured in Germany. The material properties of this innovation from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik make it particularly suitable for working near live parts. Even in cold conditions and when handling chemical substances, the innovation from Günzburg ensures the necessary plus in work safety. The new GRP stepladders are tested according to DIN EN 61478:2002 + A1 (2004) for voltages up to 60,000 volts and, as stepladders, also meet the stricter requirements of the Technical Rules for Industrial Safety - especially TRBS 2121 Part 2.
Up to the heights in record time
The popular FlexxTower one-person scaffold will also be at the A+A. With it, users can reach working heights of up to 6.10 metres all by themselves and in the shortest time. The SG version of the FlexxTower ensures maximum working safety: it is equipped with a forward safety railing and can be easily assembled and dismantled by one person. The FlexxTower SG has been included in the occupational health and safety bonus programme of the German Employer's Liability Insurance Association for the Construction Industry (BG BAU). Users can thus receive subsidies when purchasing the one-person scaffold from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: BG BAU will cover 25 per cent of the purchase costs here, up to a maximum of 500 euros. Another A+A highlight is the stepped construction pit ladder, also subsidised by BG Bau, which, with its extra-wide, height-adjustable platform with slip resistance, as well as likewise slip-resistant tread pads and a movable floor claw joint, makes working in construction pits up to 2.10 metres deep particularly safe.
Upwards quickly and safely: With the FlexxLift
Users can reach working heights of up to 4.2 metres quickly and safely with the FlexxLift mini-lift. The FlexxLift is driven smoothly without electricity via an ingenious mechanism and can be used mobile and completely independent of location by individual persons.
Quick help thanks to SafeCaddy
The Munk Rettungstechnik business division is celebrating a special premiere at this year's A+A with the completely new SafeCaddy safety system: this combines all the necessary equipment for emergency personnel and first-aiders in a single mobile unit. With it, users have all the tools at their fingertips and can start fire-fighting or life-saving immediate measures faster than ever.
Customised access equipment
And regardless of whether it's working platforms for production or maintenance tasks, platforms, walkways, dock systems, platform stairs, bridging steps or even sector-specific ladders for the most diverse tasks in industrial use: in addition to the over 2,500-product strong standard range, the technology and innovation leader develops customised special constructions on customer request. Visitors to the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand will be able to find out how process optimisation and occupational safety can be perfectly combined with highly individualised special solutions. The Munk Group will also be providing information in Düsseldorf about the seminars on offer at the Munk Campus and its extensive after-sales services.
"Anyone who is concerned about safety in their company is in good hands with us in Hall 4. We look forward to many interesting discussions and close exchanges with the occupational safety experts in Düsseldorf," says Ferdinand Munk.
