At Logimat: "Building bridges" for process optimisation

Bridging steps and walkways from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik speed up processes - Large selection thanks to product configurator

14/02/2023

Press release

A small step in everyday work - a big step towards process optimisation: bridging steps and walkways from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik shorten paths in production, in the warehouse and in logistics as well as in outdoor areas, thus ensuring that productivity does not fall by the wayside. The quality manufacturer from Bavaria will be demonstrating how this works at the Logimat 2023 trade fair in Stuttgart (Stand 3C17 in Hall 3). The bridging steps of the innovation and technology leader can also be individually assembled online at www.steigtechnik.de/konfigurator with the product configurator and more flexibly than ever before.

"The right bridging step in the right place is process optimisation of a special kind. Our customers thus reduce their production costs, because they can rely fully on automated production processes and still be sure that the operating personnel get from A to B quickly and without major detours. This saves a lot of time and money and ensures the highest level of work safety," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and managing director of the Munk Group. Munk likes to refer to studies that highlight the great benefits of prevention in the workplace: According to these, every euro invested in occupational safety returns 2.2 euros.

The following applies to the bridging steps, walkways, stairs and mobile platform stairs from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: thanks to their modular design, they can be flexibly changed and extended as needed, and thanks to sleeve nuts that replace T-bolts, assembly is faster than ever before. In addition, the solutions from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik are already equipped with Idealstopp rollers in the standard version, they offer additional added value and shine with a new, modern look.

Product configurator

Customers of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can put together the bridging steps, stairs and mobile platform stairs that perfectly meet their requirements online around the clock and with just a few clicks: This is made possible by the practical product configurator of the quality manufacturer, which complements the top customer service from person to person and is characterised by its simple and intuitive operation. Step by step, the desired dimensions, versions and accessories are entered. The result is dynamically displayed in real time via a rotatable 3D model and dimensional drawing, and after saving, an offer including the drawing is immediately sent by e-mail. The service is available at www.steigtechnik.de/konfigurator - where there is also a demo video that introduces the functions of the product configurator.

Particularly practical and, above all, versatile: thanks to the new option of individually adapting the angle of inclination and bridging step heights, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's bridging steps can now be configured more flexibly than ever before. Even very low construction heights can now be realised quite simply at the click of a mouse. Top for maximum flexibility: railings and handrails can also be selected separately, plug-in pockets are no longer tied to the selection of a railing.

"We meet the highest quality standards and offer our customers absolute process optimisation. This has long since applied not only to our bridging steps, which increase work efficiency and reduce costs in companies, but of course also to our product configurator, which is constantly being expanded with new functions, operating options and choices. This really makes ordering individual solutions child's play," says Munk happily.

Coverings are freely selectable

The areas of application for bridging steps from Günzburg are diverse and the solutions offered by the quality manufacturer are just as wide-ranging. There is a bridging step to suit every requirement. And as with aluminium industrial staircases, the coverings for the treads and standing areas can also be freely selected for bridging steps and walkways. Steel gratings, for example, are useful outdoors because they offer a high degree of slip resistance and dirt and snow can fall through the grid. Fluted aluminium, on the other hand, is suitable for use in production halls and warehouses or in workshops. And perforated sheets and gratings made of aluminium are recommended for high hygiene standards, for example in food warehouses. Like the company's corundum coating, these meet the strict R13 standard for slip resistance and thus ensure safe footing and standing even in wet, oil-smeared and dusty work areas.

Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik bridging steps are available as standard in the user-friendly version with a 45-degree climbing angle or in a steeper version with a 60-degree angle. Depending on the intended use and the height to be climbed, they have between three and eleven steps on both sides; even in the standard range, a clear height of up to around 2.60 metres can be climbed. The total tread area of the platform has been enlarged and now totals 910 mm. It can be extended in 200 mm increments to a clear width of around 2400 mm. The quality manufacturer offers three different widths: 600, 800 and 1000 mm. As standard, the bridging steps from Günzburg also have a one-sided system railing (40 mm tube diameter), but can also be ordered with a handrail on both sides and in a mobile version.

Walkways in modular design

Another plus in practice: Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik also offers its walkway systems in modular design and in a modular system, so that customers can put together the systems that are right for them individually in a particularly convenient and cost-efficient way. The walkway modules are available in three lengths (1260, 1860 and 3060 mm) and can be freely combined. The height of the platform can be freely selected in the range from 1.25 to 3.0 metres. Each module is 850 mm wide and consists of a platform, a support section and two rigid 1100 mm high railings.

Incidentally, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's customer-friendly service also includes fast delivery. Bridging steps and walkways, as well as stairs and mobile platform stairs, are part of the quality manufacturer's fast delivery programme and leave the factory within ten days. In addition, all of the company's products comply with the relevant standards and regulations and are produced exclusively at the company's headquarters in Günzburg. They also meet the certified "Made in Germany" proof of origin from TÜV Nord and have a 15-year guarantee.
