Safe and ergonomic access equipment for all trades in construction: Visitors to Bau 2025 in Munich from 13 to 17 January will find this at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand. As a special highlight, the quality manufacturer from Bavaria will be presenting the new FlexxTower SGX in Hall C6 (Stand 233): the new SGX version of the one-person scaffolding has three levels instead of two, is equipped with the ergo platform as standard and can be assembled by just one person without tools. At its stand, Munk will be presenting innovative solutions such as the new modular folding step platform, the FlexxLift microlift platform and the stepped pit ladder. TRBS-compliant ladders and scaffolding solutions will also be on show. New online configurators for fixed ladders and roof bridging will be on show for the first time at Bau, allowing users and planners to design their ideal solution with just a few clicks.
‘Bau in Munich is the industry meeting place par excellence for tradespeople, planners and decision-makers from all kinds of trades. They all know too well that the safety of professionals on the construction site must be guaranteed at all times - and that the right equipment is needed for this. Regardless of the sector: we offer all construction professionals the right access technology solution. And thus the highest level of quality and safety made in Germany,’ says Ferdinand Munk, owner and Managing Director of the Munk Group based in Günzburg and Leipheim (Bavaria).
The range specifically for the construction industry is largely subsidised as part of the BG Bau occupational health and safety premium programme. ‘This means that users benefit from the subsidy as soon as they make their purchase,’ says a delighted Munk. All information on the BG Bau subsidy programme is available directly at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand.
Fast and safe to over 9 metres
At the trade fair in Munich, professionals will find out how they can reach completely new heights with the new FlexxTower SGX: The SGX version of the 1.80 metre long single-person scaffolding has three levels instead of two, enabling working heights of up to 9.55 metres. And it is particularly ergonomic, as the FlexxTower SGX is equipped with the ergo platform on all levels: This is up to 40 per cent lighter than standard rolling scaffold platforms, taking the strain off the user during assembly and transport. Like the FlexxTower SG, the larger SGX variant has safety railings and therefore complies with DIN EN 1004. The new three-storey version of the mobile scaffolding can also be assembled by just one person without any tools.
Stable and robust: the modular folding step platform
Users can now work particularly flexibly and safely on the modular folding step platform: The new development combines two walk-on ML folding steps with a hook-on platform. The platform's non-slip screen printing plate can be flexibly attached at any step height, including the top level, thus creating a spacious, stable work surface. The folding step platform offers secure support for up to two people at the same time and is designed for loads of up to 300 kg. Depending on the intended use, both ML folding steps can of course also be used individually and without a platform.
Safe access equipment at the touch of a button
At the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand, trade visitors can also find out everything there is to know about Munk's online product configurators: At www.munk-group.com/en/configurator, users will find all kinds of options for planning stairs, stairs with platforms, mobile platform stairs and bridging steps themselves. The latest additions to the digital planning range are the new configurators for fixed ladders and roof bridging, which are now celebrating their construction première.
For the first time ever, the new fixed ladder configurator offers a realistic wall simulation that allows users to design their ideal fixed ladder directly on an image of the target façade. This is because they can recreate the respective surfaces true to the original and include all interfering contours such as windows, cornices and pipes.
Another highlight: with the roof hatch configurator, users not only adjust the angle of inclination and step coverings of their roof hatches, but can also take into account the roof structure and roof obstacles
From practice for practice
For 125 years, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik has been developing its innovations in close consultation with professionals from the field: ‘Regardless of whether you are a specialist tradesman, planner or public authority: We are the competent partner for everyone involved in construction. That's why we know first-hand what requirements users have of their equipment - and are constantly developing industry-specific solutions that make their day-to-day work even safer and more ergonomic,’ says Munk.
The added value for the construction industry is demonstrated, for example, by the popular stepped pit ladder: tradespeople and construction workers benefit from an extra-wide, height-adjustable platform with anti-slip properties in accordance with the R13 standard and 80 mm deep steps equipped with anti-slip clip-step R13 tread pads. The stepped pit ladder has been included in the BG Bau occupational safety programme, meaning that the purchase is subsidised by up to 50 percent of the costs.
Working according to standards? But with safety!
In addition to input from the field, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik naturally incorporates all relevant standards, laws and regulations into its new developments: for example, over 90 per cent of the relevant ladder range complies with TRBS 2121/2 and mobile scaffolding such as the FlexxTower in the SG version with guardrails complies with the DIN EN 1004 series of standards.
‘Our high-quality access technology solutions are designed for a long service life and many years of use - it's not for nothing that we offer a 15-year guarantee on all series products made in Germany, a long-term supply of spare parts and a comprehensive range of accessories,’ says Ferdinand Munk.
