"Work hard! Rock hard!" - the trade fair motto of the International Hardware Fair 2024 is the programme for Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: With its innovative solutions for more occupational safety, it will once again set the tone this year at Stand A001 in Hall 3.2. All product innovations from the access technology range will be on show in Cologne, above all the new Ergo platform for rolling scaffolding - as well as the new SafeCaddy mobile safety system and the new vertical ladder configurator. Also on show in Cologne will be classics such as the popular FlexxTower single-person scaffolding and the FlexxLift mini lifting platform, which visitors to the trade fair can use to crank themselves upwards with particular ease and smoothness.
"The hardware trade fair is still the most important event in the hardware industry. That's why I'm particularly pleased that we can once again present a whole range of new products to our partners from the specialised trade and industry as well as users," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and Managing Director of the Munk Group.
The new Ergo platform
Among the innovations on show in Cologne, the new Ergo platform stands out with its low weight: thanks to its special material properties made from a composite material, it is up to 40 per cent lighter than conventional scaffolding platforms. "With the Ergo platform, we are setting completely new standards when it comes to ergonomic working at height. It noticeably minimises the strain on workers and simplifies handling enormously with two practical grip rails. This naturally also reduces the risk of accidents at work. And thanks to its versatility, it is suitable for a wide variety of rolling scaffold superstructures," says Munk.
Upwards in record time
Visitors to the hardware fair will be able to find out just how good the Ergo platform is to work with using the FlexxTower single-person scaffolding as an example. With this perennial favourite from the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik work safety range, users can reach working heights of up to 6.10 metres all by themselves and in no time at all. It is also extremely safe, as the FlexxTower-SG version is equipped with an advanced guardrail for maximum safety at work.
SafeCaddy mobile safety system
The new SafeCaddy mobile safety system from Munk Rettungstechnik will be exhibited at the hardware fair for the first time. It has been specially designed to optimise fire protection and first aid in buildings, on construction sites and at events. Depending on the version, the SafeCaddy is equipped with fire extinguishers, a mobile fire alarm system, a large first aid kit or even a fully automatic defibrillator.
"With the SafeCaddy, we have added an important innovation to our portfolio, which now ensures top safety in even more areas. And our retail partners are also delighted. Because with the mobile safety system, they are opening up completely new areas of business and boosting their sales even further. The SafeCaddy creates a real win-win situation for everyone involved," says Munk.
Up to 4.20 metres with the FlexxLift
Visitors can even try out another highlight at the hardware fair for themselves: with the FlexxLift mini lifting platform, they can crank themselves up to working heights of up to 4.20 metres quickly and safely at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand. The FlexxLift is driven smoothly without electricity by a sophisticated crank mechanism and can be used by individuals on a mobile basis, regardless of location.
Vertical ladder configurator with wall simulation
As a special highlight, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik is also presenting the new vertical ladder configurator, which guides users to the ideal solution at www.steigtechnik.de/en/configurator. It is the first configurator in the industry that allows users and planners to realistically simulate their own façade and design their perfect vertical ladder.
From practice for practice
"The trade fair motto 'Work hard! Rock hard!' fits us like a glove, because we have been giving our all for many years to take the standards for occupational safety to ever new heights. That's why we always incorporate the wishes and problems of users from the field into our new developments. In this way, we are always able to offer professionals real added value in their day-to-day work," says Ferdinand Munk.
At the stand, visitors to the hardware fair can also find out about the new training concept or the dates for the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik roadshows and the Munk rescue technology products - as well as about the comprehensive after-sales services of the Munk Service division and the functional, sophisticated profile systems from Munk Profiltechnik for individual and professional configurations.
