LogiMat: Short routes are safe routes

Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik bridging steps, stairs, fixed ladders and walkways speed up processes - Large selection thanks to product configurators

Presse release

If you want to break new ground safely, quickly and economically in production and logistics, sometimes all it takes is a small innovation. Short distances help enormously, as the bridging steps, stairs, platform stairs and walkway systems from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik show: they shorten distances in production, warehouses and logistics, as well as in outdoor areas, thus ensuring that productivity and safety do not fall by the wayside. The solutions from the innovation and technology leader can also be customised online at www.steigtechnik.de/en/configurator using the product configurators, making them more flexible than ever before. The quality manufacturer from Bavaria will be presenting its innovative solutions at the LogiMat 2024 trade fair in Stuttgart (Stand 3C17 in Hall 3). The new vertical ladder configurator with innovative wall simulation can also be tried out there

"The right step-over in the right place quickly becomes the key factor for faster operating processes: our customers reduce their production costs because they can rely fully on automated production processes and still be sure that the operating personnel can get from A to B quickly and without major detours. This saves a lot of time and money and ensures maximum occupational safety," says Ferdinand Munk, owner and Managing Director of the Munk Group. Munk likes to refer to studies that emphasise the great benefits of prevention in the workplace: According to these studies, every euro invested in occupational health and safety generates a return of 2.2 euros.

The following applies to the bridging steps, walkways, stairs and mobile platform stairs from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik: thanks to their modular design, they can be flexibly modified and extended as required and, thanks to sleeve nuts that replace T-bolts, assembly is faster than ever before. In addition, the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik solutions are already equipped with ideal-stop rollers in the standard version, they offer additional added value and boast a new, modern look.

All-round protection thanks to safety doors

For even more safety, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik offers important additional equipment for stairs, bridging steps and platform steps in the form of safety doors. These protect the user from all sides and thus create an even safer working environment on the platform.

Munk's safety doors are fully compliant with the German Industrial Safety Regulation and the Technical Rules for Operational Safety (TRBS), which stipulate that technical safety measures have priority when it comes to fall protection. According to TRBS 2121, fall protection measures such as guardrails or side protection are the top priority. "We offer precisely these technical solutions with our safety doors. We not only fulfil the regulations, but also the high demand from the market. In line with our maxim of always responding to the requirements and wishes of professionals in the field," says Munk.

Product configurators

Customers of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can put together the perfect bridging steps, stairs and mobile platform stairs as well as vertical ladders for their requirements online around the clock and with just a few clicks: This is made possible by the quality manufacturer's practical product configurators, which complement the top customer service from person to person and are characterised by their simple and intuitive operation. The desired dimensions, versions and accessories are entered step by step. The result is dynamically displayed in real time via a rotatable 3D model and dimensional drawing and, once saved, an offer and drawing are immediately sent by e-mail. The services are available at www.steigtechnik.de/en/configurator - where there are also demo videos presenting the functions of the product configurators.

A special highlight at LogiMat: In addition to the product configurator for stairs and bridging steps, visitors can also test the new vertical ladder configurator live at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand for the first time this year. The new tool is the industry's first configurator with realistic wall simulation: it allows planners and users to design the perfect vertical ladder for them directly on the target façade. They can take into account all interfering contours such as windows, cornices and pipes.

Coverings are freely selectable

The areas of application for Günzburg bridging steps are diverse and the solutions offered by the quality manufacturer are just as wide-ranging. There is a suitable bridging step for every requirement. And as with aluminium industrial staircases, there is a free choice of coverings for the treads and standing surfaces of the bridging steps and walkway systems. Steel gratings are useful for outdoor areas, for example, because they offer a high degree of slip resistance and dirt and snow can fall through the grating. Corrugated aluminium, on the other hand, is suitable for use in production halls, warehouses or workshops. And perforated sheets and gratings made of aluminium are recommended for high hygiene standards, for example in food storage facilities. Like the company's corundum coating, these fulfil the strict R13 standard for slip resistance and therefore ensure safe footing and stability even in wet, oil-smeared and dusty work areas.

The Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik bridging steps are available as standard in the user-friendly version with a climbing angle of 45 degrees or in a steeper version with a 60-degree angle.

Thanks to the option of customising the angle of inclination and access heights using the product configurator, the bridging steps can also be configured particularly flexibly. Even very low construction heights can be realised at the click of a mouse. For maximum flexibility, railings and handrails can also be selected separately and plug-in pockets are no longer tied to the selection of a railing.

Modular walkway systems

Another practical advantage: Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik also offers its walkway systems in modular design and in a modular system, so that customers can put together the systems that are right for them in a particularly convenient and cost-efficient way. The catwalk modules are available in three lengths (1260, 1860 and 3060 mm) and can be freely combined with each other.

Incidentally, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's customer-friendly service also includes fast delivery. The quality manufacturer's fast delivery programme includes bridging steps and catwalk systems, as well as stairs and mobile platform stairs, which leave the factory within ten days and vertical ladders within 1-3 days. In addition, all of the company's products comply with the relevant standards and regulations and are produced exclusively at the company headquarters in Günzburg. They also fulfil the certified "Made in Germany" certificate of origin from TÜV Nord and come with a 15-year guarantee.
