Munk wins PVH for the 8th time

All the way to the top with "Safety made in Germany": The Munk Group and its Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik division have once again demonstrated how this can be achieved sustainably. For the eighth time, the innovation and technology leader for access technology took first place in the Production Connection Trade (PVH) poll in the factory equipment product range. The family-run company based in Günzburg and Leipheim once again received top marks in important categories such as product innovation, delivery capability and data and digitalisation quality.

The "Partner of the specialised trade" award is presented annually by the Tools Working Group (AKW) in the Central Association of the Hardware Trade (ZHH). In addition to the business equipment category, there are also categories for work safety, grinding/cutting tools, fastening technology, precision tools, measuring tools and hand tools.

We address the needs of our customers and develop products that are well thought out down to the last detail and offer them real added value in practice. It goes without saying that our premium-quality innovations also offer our specialist retail partners a clear competitive advantage: Innovative access technology solutions, combined with digital solutions and intensive personal contact, simply make the difference here and show that specialist retailers can fully rely on us at all times. This is also demonstrated by the top score in the delivery capability category: we have always remained true to our motto of "Safety made in Germany" and were able to deliver quickly at all times, even in pandemic-ridden years and times of difficult supply chains. Added value in practice

For Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, "innovative access technology" means constantly offering users new added value in their day-to-day work with its new products and thus increasing the sales opportunities for its specialised trade partners. In the recent past, it has succeeded in doing this on several occasions: For example, the new Ergo platform for rolling scaffolding is made of a composite material and is up to 40 per cent lighter than conventional rolling scaffolding platforms. Thanks to its low weight, the platform significantly reduces the strain on workers and thus also minimises the risk of accidents at work.

With the new vertical ladder configurator, the company offers its specialist trade partners and customers a new tool with which they can configure their ideal vertical ladder using a realistic simulation of the target façade, so that all interfering contours such as windows, cornices and pipes are included.

The Munk Group has also added an important innovation to its portfolio with the SafeCaddy mobile safety system. The SafeCaddy was specially designed to optimise preventive fire protection and first aid in buildings, on construction sites and at events.

With its business units Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, Munk Rettungstechnik, Munk Service and Munk Profiltechnik, the Munk Group is one of the most important suppliers of access and rescue equipment as well as suitable service solutions. In the MUNK Günzburger Steigtechnik business unit for access solutions, the MUNK Group carries over 2,500 products in its standard range, from ladders for commercial, public and private use to mobile scaffolding, platforms, stairs and bridging steps to custom-made special constructions. These include, for example, work and maintenance platforms, docking systems, walkways and assembly platforms, which, in the era of digitalisation, can also be automatically adapted to the respective environment using the latest control technology.

In the MUNK Rettungstechnik business unit for rescue equipment, the company offers access solutions and transport logistics for fire, rescue and disaster relief operations. These include, for example, multi-functional ladders, scaling and push-up extension ladders, rescue platforms, toolboxes, station equipment and a wide range of mobile containers. In the MUNK Service business unit, the MUNK Group bundles the areas of installation, testing, repair and maintenance of access solutions and rescue equipment, as well as seminars. The youngest business division, MUNK Profiltechnik, offers high-quality technology for individual and professional configurations with a functional and sophisticated profile system.

The MUNK Group is always drawing attention to itself with new ideas that offer customers real added value in practice. It is certified with the "Work and Family" audit and has already received numerous awards for its innovations, its economic development, its responsible and sustainable actions and as a family-friendly employer. The MUNK Group manufactures exclusively in its home region of Günzburg. It was also the first supplier ever to be audited by TÜV Nord in 2010 with the certified "Made in Germany" certificate of origin and offers a 15-year guarantee on all series products made in Germany.
