Access and rescue equipment for rescue operations

‘RETTmobil International’: Munk Rettungstechnik presents access equipment and transport logistics

31/03/2025

Press Release

Concentrated expertise and rescue equipment that professionals can rely on at all times: This is what visitors to the ‘RETTmobil International’ can expect at the Munk Rettungstechnik stand. At stand 1513 in hall J, the Bavarian quality manufacturer will be presenting itself as a strong partner for fire brigades and aid organisations. The full range for fire, rescue and disaster operations will be on show, including multifunctional ladders, extension ladders and rope pull ladders, rescue platforms, mobile containers, toolboxes and equipment shed equipment. Tomorrow's lifesavers can also look forward to a special highlight at the ‘RETTmobil’: junior firefighters can test the mobile container for children's fire brigades directly at the trade fair stand and capture the moment for the future at the Munk photo point.

‘The specialist audience at the ‘RETTmobil’ knows very well that when it comes to human lives, seconds can be crucial. This makes it all the more important for professionals to be able to react quickly. Together with the emergency services, we are therefore continuously developing our existing products, looking for new and innovative solutions and always supporting our contacts with our many years of expertise in the rescue sector,’ says Ferdinand Munk, owner and Managing Director of the Munk Group.

Glowing ladders and mobile containers

One of the highlights at the Munk Rettungstechnik stand are the fire service ladders in the Glow version with photoluminescent rung covering. The glow rung coating is charged by UV radiation. This makes the ladders visible in the dark and increases the work safety of the emergency services.

The Glow concept has also proven itself in the Munk Rettungstechnik mobile container range. All of the specialist's mobile containers are therefore equipped with the ergonomic, photoluminescent Ergo-Glow-Grip handle bar as standard. This Ergo-Glow-Grip and the glow rung covering for rung ladders are also available as retrofit kits, so that users can retrofit their existing equipment to make it glow.

Versatile mobile container solutions

In Fulda, it is also clear that Munk Rettungstechnik offers a wide range of very robust and durable mobile containers for the fast and efficient transport of equipment and supplies to the scene of an emergency. They can be used to cover all purposes and requirements - whether it's respiratory protection, hoses, foam compound or even power and lighting equipment.

The Munk team has developed the ‘forest fire’, ‘flood protection’ and ‘emergency meeting point’ mobile container versions especially for the needs of disaster control. In addition to the broad standard range, there is also a wide range of pre-configured, off-the-shelf variants or completely customised solutions in the Munk Rettungstechnik mobile container range. The mobile container for the children's fire brigade, which looks like a fire engine, is particularly cool.

Quality that saves lives

In Fulda, Munk Rettungstechnik will also be showcasing the centrepieces of all firefighting equipment: with the various fire service ladders in accordance with DIN EN 1147 or ÖNORM F 4047, the rescue and work platforms and the wide range of firefighting kits, the emergency services are optimally equipped for emergencies. To ensure that all equipment can not only be stored, transported and stowed safely, but also in accordance with regulations, the firefighting boxes from Munk Rettungstechnik are manufactured and filled in accordance with the relevant DIN standards.

Strong equipment for the fire station

Munk Rettungstechnik is also a valuable partner for rescue teams and aid organisations before and after operations - especially with the right equipment for modern equipment sheds, such as ladder test stands for regular load tests. And if a defect such as a damaged rung protector or a frayed rope is noticed during the visual inspection of the ladder after use, the emergency services can also be helped quickly: A product-specific QR code on their ladder takes them directly to the product's spare parts overview and the next step conveniently takes them to the enquiry form.

Munk Campus: Fit for rescue equipment

The Munk Service division teaches professionals how to properly maintain and repair their equipment after use: Here, the experts from the Munk Group offer seminars on the maintenance and testing of rescue equipment, aimed specifically at fire services and aid organisations. In just one day, participants can acquire the necessary specialist knowledge for persons authorised to carry out inspections at the one-day seminars ‘Portable fire service ladders and rescue platforms’ and ‘Inspection and maintenance of mobile containers’. Munk is also the only provider to organise a combined seminar on ‘Inspection and maintenance of portable fire service ladders and mobile containers’: this combines both one-day seminars and therefore takes place on two consecutive days.

Rescue equipment on the road

Great for rescue workers: They can test Munk Rettungstechnik products right on their own doorstep and also at local specialist retail partners and get advice from the Munk Group experts. For years, they have been going on a grand tour with their popular roadshow and paying individual visits to the customers and specialist retail partners of the family-run company.
