Since 1993, compamedia has been awarding the "Top 100" seal in recognition of outstanding innovative strength and above-average innovation success to SME sector companies. Since 2002, the scientific direction has been in the hands of Prof. Nikolaus Franke from the Institute of Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Vienna University of Economics.
The scientist is regarded internationally as one of the leading experts in user innovation. The mentor to the "Top 100" is the science journalist and TV presenter Ranga Yogeshwar. The project is partnered by the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research. manager magazine is the competition's media partner.
