A year of success for Günzburger Steigtechnik

  • Innovations and growth for the access technology specialists
  • 36 anniversaries of loyal service celebrated

At Günzburger Steigtechnik's end-of-year celebrations, the three managing directors Ferdinand, Ruth and Leopold Munk had positive news about the company's business over the previous year. The increase in market share in all areas of the company's business had produced a pleasing increase in sales. The numerous product innovations have further expanded the company's innovation and technology leadership. The management team is proud of its multiple awards and the 36 anniversaries that have been celebrated for many years of loyalty.

"We have been fortunate enough to experience many positives and successes in 2019. The input of each individual and our cooperation as a team have been the foundations of this. To echo our slogan for the year, success is the product of good team work", says Ferdinand Munk, in front of the assembled workforce.

Both in standard products and customised special designs, as well as in rescue equipment, the access technology experts have developed innovative products and technical innovations with added value for users. In terms of customised solutions, the trend is continuing towards working platforms and walkway systems with a higher degree of automation. Digitisation is also increasingly making in-roads into access technology applications.

One highlight of the year was the market launch of the flexible nivello® ladder shoe, which offers multiple new functions. This product innovation compensates for unevenness in the floor in four directions for the first time, offering interchangeable foot plates for various areas of use. The fact that the new ladder shoe is popular is evident from its multiple awards, including the Plus X Award, in no fewer than four categories, the inclusion in the Best Of list for the Industry Prize 2019 and the shortlist for the Dekra Award 2019 and GIT Security Award 2020.

Günzburger Steigtechnik's own in-house occupational safety management system is also "outstanding". The company recently received the "Safety with a system" seal of quality from the Institution for Statutory Accident Insurance and Prevention for the Wood and Metalworking Industries (BGHM). "We are exceptionally proud of our seal of quality. It shows that our workplace and health protection really are matters close to our heart and that we take responsibility for our employees. The award is a success for the entire team – we systematically implement our workplace safety management system and continuously develop it together," says Ferdinand Munk.

The three managing directors express their gratitude that they have been able to rely fully on their staff over an eventful year, and they are delighted by how well the team works together. The workforce at Günzburger Steigtechnik is also constantly growing, and currently stands at more than 300 people. In addition to the new colleagues who were welcomed at the end-of-year celebrations, 36 anniversaries for five to 35 years of loyal service to the company were also honoured. The access technology manufacturer is starting the new year with an optimistic outlook and has announced further product innovations and activities to consolidate its location.
