Award-winning! Günzburger Steigtechnik, the Bavaria-based quality manufacturer, has now earned this distinction several times over and has once again been named a TOP 100 German SME Innovator in 2021. It also took first place in the Factory Equipment category in the "Production Liaison Trade" (PVH) poll for the seventh time. In a user vote by the "Initiative Mittelstand", Günzburger Steigtechnik's innovative FlexxTower single-person scaffolding was voted the most popular industrial product of 2020 and, according to Focus Money, the company is once again one of the best vocational training companies in Germany. It was also awarded a special prize by the district of Günzburg for its commitment to reconciling family and career.
"The new year could hardly have started better for us. We are delighted with the five awards, because they confirm yet again that we are justifiably regarded as the innovation and technology leader for access solutions. Apart from developing innovative products, this is especially due to our corporate culture that makes innovation possible in the first place. We are therefore all the more pleased that our training management and family-friendliness have also been recognised with these awards", says Ferdinand Munk, CEO of Günzburger Steigtechnik GmbH.
Outstanding innovative prowess
The TOP 100 quality mark also shows that the quality manufacturer is succeeding with its concept. The 2021 award means that Günzburger Steigtechnik is among the TOP 100 German SME Innovators for the fifth time. Since 1993, the seal has been awarded annually by compamedia for outstanding innovative prowess and above-average innovation success. Günzburger Steigtechnik had to go through a complex selection process and impressed the judging panel made up of independent experts in all categories.
PVH poll: No. 1 for the seventh time
For the seventh time, Günzburger Steigtechnik also came first in the Factory Equipment category in the PVH poll. With an overall score of 1.60, the innovation and technology leader for access solutions left the other participants trailing in its wake, achieving the best score across all categories. Top marks were awarded for product innovation, retailer loyalty and data and digitalisation quality. The award of "Partner to Specialist Retail" is presented annually by the Tools Working Group (AKW) of the Central Association of Hardware Retailers (ZHH). Alongside Factory Equipment, the categories include Occupational Safety, Grinding/Cutting Equipment, Fastening Technology, Precision Tools, Measuring Tools and Hand-held Tools.
"The award of "Partner to Specialist Retail" shows that our expertise in product development and consulting is making a difference. We can then offer our customers added value, and give our partners in specialist retail a definite competitive advantage. Our success is built on a combination of innovative products that impress with their "Made in Germany" safety, and linking digital solutions to personal contact, something that remains as important as ever for us. We are committed to specialist retailers and specialist retailers know that they can rely on us," explains Ferdinand Munk.
The "TOP 100 Innovator" and "Partner to Specialist Retail" are not the only awards that Günzburger Steigtechnik has received recently. Its strong performance in innovation has also paid off, among other things, in a user vote for the Industry's Best List. The FlexxTower single-person scaffold won as the most popular industrial product of 2020.
Special prize for family-friendliness
For the second time, the company is one of the best vocational training companies in the metalworking sector, according to a study commissioned by the business magazine Focus Money and Deutschland Test. The 20,000 companies with the highest number of employees in the country were analysed, around 800 of which received awards – including Günzburger Steigtechnik which scored 100 out of a possible 100 points. Another award shows that Günzburger Steigtechnik is also a particularly family-friendly company: it was again awarded the coveted special prize in the "Career & Family" competition organised by its local district of Günzburg – for its exceptional commitment to helping to combine family and career.
