Every winter, accidents occur when ice sheets detach from the roofs of trucks or buses. Using de-icing systems and scaffolds from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik, this risk can be mitigated, significantly enhancing road safety. With stationary systems and modular scaffolds, as well as mobile de-icing scaffolds, the quality manufacturer offers a broad range of solutions for road safety. While stationary installations are primarily used at rest stops, truck yards, or directly on company, city utilities, and municipal sites, the mobile scaffolds provide a completely location-independent "de-icing to go" option.
Whether due to negligence, recklessness, time constraints, or lack of appropriate equipment – too often, long-haul and bus drivers neglect to clear their vehicle roofs and tarpaulins of snow and ice. Yet, clearing trucks and buses of ice isn't optional; it's mandatory. Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) already stipulate in Paragraph 1 that no other road user should be endangered.
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's de-icing systems and scaffolds offer the solution. "Danger spotted, danger averted. I'm pleased that more and more companies are installing our de-icing systems on their premises. Snowy, icy, and prolonged cold winters have shown many the importance of de-icing vehicles. The demand for our de-icing systems and scaffolds has surged," states Ferdinand Munk, owner and CEO of the Munk Group.
Customers of Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik can quickly and cost-effectively configure their stationary de-icing systems and scaffolds through a convenient modular system. Three platform lengths (1270, 1870, or 3070 mm) with associated stair modules are available for de-icing systems. These systems are constructed from highly durable, stable, and especially robust aluminium profiles with a steel grating platform and sturdy substructure. The stationary scaffold, with a standard platform length of 5210 mm, can also be tailored to customer needs. These stationary structures offer the utmost safety when being accessed and while working on vehicles, thanks to handrails at the stair climbs, railings on the front and sides, and safety doors.
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik also offers mobile de-icing solutions. The mobile version of the de-icing scaffold is manoeuvrable via four casters and can be set up quickly and securely without any tools. Assembly is done through plug connections and self-locking closure claws. Under the motto "de-icing to go", these rolling scaffolds can be stored in a mesh cart for transport and loaded onto a truck, ensuring they're exceptionally flexible and can be used anywhere.
Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik's de-icing systems and scaffolds can remain set up throughout the year; they're entirely weather-resistant and maintenance-free. "They can also be used in the summer, for instance, for repairs on truck tarpaulins or roofs," explains Ferdinand Munk. These constructions are part of the standard programme of the Bavarian quality manufacturer, ensuring not only rapid delivery within four weeks but also reflecting in a highly competitive cost-performance ratio.
