Charge in daylight, light up at night during rescue operations and save lives: This is what distinguishes the new luminescent rung and handle coverings for fire brigade ladders and roll containers from Munk Rettungstechnik. The quality manufacturer from Bavaria is the first supplier ever to bring light into the darkness of night-time rescue operations and defines a new luminescent safety standard for equipment in rescue technology with the Ergo-Glow-Grip handle bar for roll containers and the Glow rung covering for fire brigade ladders. Both market novelties are charged during the day by UV radiation and thus make the rescue equipment visible even at night. For maximum operational safety, the two luminous innovations are available both as original equipment ex works and as retrofit kits.
"Everyone in rescue operations knows this: at a fire scene, the first thing that happens is that the power fails or it has to be switched off for safety reasons. But especially at night, visibility means safety and a quick overview speeds up rescue operations. The emergency services must be able to see where the equipment is even in the dark - after all, this is how accidents are prevented. This is exactly why we have developed the luminescent handle and rung coverings for rolling containers and fire brigade ladders. This way, emergency services can help even faster and safer," says Ferdinand Munk, Managing Director and owner of the Munk Group, and is pleased about the plus in operational safety: "Every day, emergency services risk their lives for the belongings and health of others. It is all the more important for us that we can give them even more safety with our Glow innovations ".
Glow rung covering for ladders
Munk Rettungstechnik now offers the Glow rung covering (glow) for an absolute perennial favourite in its range of fire brigade ladders: The aluminium plug-in ladder and the corresponding plug-in part are now available ex works with the luminescent rung covering. The luminescent version of the rung covering also impresses with its heat-insulating and non-slip properties.
In addition to the aluminium extension ladder, the three-part rope ladder popular in rescue services and the multi-functional ladder from Munk Rettungstechnik will soon also be available with a glow upgrade.
Great for fire brigades and emergency services: they can upgrade their existing access equipment with the extra safety: with the Glow-Sprossenfix for fire brigade ladders, the luminescent rung covering is also available as a retrofit kit.
Ergo-Glow-Grip for mobile containers
The name says it all with the luminescent Ergo-Glow-Grip handle for mobile pedestals. It ensures maximum safety even in the dark and its oval shape also guarantees particularly ergonomic handling. "Especially when the emergency services have to transport their roll containers in the dark, they are grateful for any orientation aid. This is exactly what we offer them with the Ergo-Glow-Grip. With it, they have the roll containers safely in sight and under control at all times, even in poor lighting conditions," says Ferdinand Munk.
Safety is standard
A special highlight: Soon, the entire roll container range of Munk Rettungstechnik will be equipped with the Ergo-Glow-Grip as standard ex works. The operating unit is also available as a retrofit kit.
"With the glow-in-the-dark handle and rung coverings, we are once again underlining our role as a technology and innovation leader, because the Glow solutions literally have a signal effect in rescue technology. This example shows that we take our motto 'Safety made in Germany' literally," says the owner and managing director.
During the development of their latest Glow innovations, the experts at Munk Rettungstechnik were once again in close contact with fire brigades and emergency services. "The feedback from the professionals is enormously important for us, because it allows us to tailor our innovations perfectly to their needs," says Ferdinand Munk. He is not the only one who sees the luminescent coverings of fire brigade equipment as the next logical development stage of an existing concept in rescue services: "After all, a fire brigade helmet also glows in the dark. So why not the other equipment, such as fire brigade ladders and roller containers? It's great that we can make the so important deployment of the rescue forces even safer through this adaptation.
