An innovative manufacturing company required a specialized bridging step for its facility, designed to span roller conveyors and tailored specifically to maintenance requirements. The challenge was to develop a bridging step that is easy to disassemble, ergonomic, and safe for employees, while being stable, reliable, and compliant with standards.

Our Solution
Design of the Bridging Step
We developed a 45° bridging step in Z-shape, consisting of two platforms with different lengths and widths, connected by two attachable staircases. Six supports with foot angles ensure the secure attachment of the bridging step. A surrounding, plug-in handrail and railing system provide additional safety.
Technical Features
The main platform has a length of 2860 mm and a width of at least 1200 mm, while the second platform is 960 mm long and 650 mm wide. Both platforms are located at a height of 1800 mm above the ground. The staircases have a 45° inclination, with step widths of 1050 mm and 600 mm, and a step depth of 240 mm. The covering is made of grooved aluminium.
Safety and Comfort Aspects
The platforms are designed to carry a surface load of 1.5 kN/m², with a step load capacity of up to 150 kg.
