Metal worker (m/f/d)

In addition to technical skills, the apprenticeship to become a metalworker (m/f/d) requires you to enjoy working with metal and machines and to work accurately and conscientiously. As a metalworker (m/f/d), you will complete a varied training programme in theory and practice. You will also practise working with state-of-the-art technology. During their apprenticeship as a metalworker (m/f/d), trainees pass through all of the MUNK Group's industrial departments and familiarise themselves with them. Prefabrication, series production, toolmaking, special construction, despatch and design are just a few examples. During the entire training period, experienced and qualified trainers are on hand with help and advice.

Contents of the apprenticeship

  • Production of ladders, steps, stairs, railings and special constructions
  • Reading and preparing construction drawings, assembly and functional plans
  • Manual clamping and forming
  • Testing workpieces with angles, limit gauges and thread gauges
  • Preparing test reports and analysing technical issues
  • Treatment of surfaces
  • Logistics and quality management
  • Determination and adjustment of machine values
  • Maintenance and servicing of machines and technical equipment

Requirements

  • Good secondary school leaving certificate or intermediate school leaving certificate
  • Good grades in maths, technical drawing and craftsmanship
  • Interest in technology, building and construction
  • Spatial imagination, manual dexterity and talent
  • Sense of responsibility, willingness to learn and commitment
