Contents of the apprenticeship

  • Participation in logistical planning and organisational processes
  • Receiving goods and checking the delivery against the accompanying documents
  • Transport and management of goods to the operational destination
  • Unpacking the goods, sorting and storage in accordance with requirements and economic principles, taking into account the warehouse regulations
  • Carrying out stock checks and stock maintenance measures
  • Picking and packing goods for shipments and putting together load units
  • Labelling, marking and securing consignments in accordance with legal requirements
  • Creating loading lists and loading plans in compliance with loading regulations
  • Loading and stowing consignments in means of transport based on the accompanying documents and applying the sealing regulations
  • Processing shipping and accompanying documents
  • Assisting with the creation of route plans
  • Carrying out dispatch records
  • Planning, organising and monitoring the use of work and transport equipment
  • Use of company information and communication systems, standard software and workplace-related software

Requirements

  • Good secondary school leaving certificate or secondary school leaving certificate
  • Good grades in maths, technical drawing and handicrafts
  • Interest in technology, building and construction
  • Spatial imagination, manual dexterity and talent
  • Sense of responsibility, willingness to learn and commitment
