The Munk Group celebrates its 125th anniversary in 2024/25. In this interview, Ferdinand Munk and his son-in-law Alexander Werdich, also Managing Director, look back on the company's successful history and take a look into the future.
Safe and ergonomic access equipment for all trades in construction: Visitors to Bau 2025 in Munich from 13 to 17 January will find this at the Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik stand. As a special highlight, the quality manufacturer from Bavaria will be presenting the new FlexxTower SGX in Hall C6 (Stand 233): the new SGX version of the one-person scaffolding has three levels instead of two, is equipped with the ergo platform as standard and can be assembled by just one person without tools.
His company has already been awarded the Grand Prix of Medium-Sized Enterprises several times - now the owner and managing director himself, together with his wife Ruth Munk, has been honoured with the special prize for lifetime achievement: Ferdinand Munk has been managing the Munk Group, based in Günzburg and Leipheim, for 42 years and has been shaping the world of occupational safety with innovative access and rescue technology for just as long and just as successfully.
Start of training: Flying high with access equipment
The start of September was equally exciting for the Munk Group and six young people, as they took the first step towards their professional future when they began their apprenticeships at the family-run company. Over the next three years, they will complete their apprenticeships as industrial clerks, metalworkers specialising in construction technology and warehouse logistics specialists.
Highlight at Arbeitsschutz Aktuell: the new ergo platform
Trade fair premiere in Stuttgart: At its stand (H1.029) in Hall 1, Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik will be presenting its new Ergo platform for rolling scaffolding for the first time at Arbeitsschutz Aktuell, and the name says it all. With up to 40 per cent less weight, this product innovation from Günzburg ensures particularly ergonomic handling and more efficient working on mobile scaffolding.
Recycling-Technik trade fair: short routes are safe routes
If you want to break new ground in recycling safely, quickly and economically, sometimes all it takes is a small innovation. Short distances help enormously, as the bridging steps, stairs, platform stairs and catwalk systems from Munk Günzburger Steigtechnik show: On 9 and 10 October, Munk will be presenting its solutions for greater occupational safety at the Recycling-Technik trade fair in Dortmund (Hall 7, Stand 7-S18).
